Safe storage

For many companies it is not possible to continuously make (large) investments into safety provisions. These companies can store chemicals with specialists such as Van den Anker. This will ensure that fewer and fewer unsafe situations will occur in the Netherlands and Belgium. Van den Anker complies with all legislation and regulations. The legal level is simply viewed by Van den Anker as being the minimum level. We do not aim for the minimum where safety is concerned but for the highest level that can be achieved.

Shipment savings

Van den Anker is a transport company and ensures that there are the highest levels of capacity utilisation levels of its fleet by combining different customer product flows. By combining large quantities of shipments, a closed network of chemical product flows is achieved. The capacity utilisation of Van den Anker trucks, therefore, is always the highest and we realise a significant saving in transport costs within the Benelux. Transport savings serve the environment (fewer emissions) but also safety.

Van den Anker has now contributed to transport savings itself through its closed network. Considerably fewer kilometres are driven with empty trucks because we use the “hub & spoke model”. Large full trucks (often with double loading platforms) are driven to the local depot (hub) at night. The products are transferred to smaller trucks through cross-docking at these hubs and these smaller trucks deliver the products during the day (spokes). This achieves significant transport savings.

Our social commitment to the communication aspect related to the transport of dangerous goods is also extensive since we are the market leader in the Benelux. Through news reports on the website and newsletters, local residents, customers and other stakeholders are kept informed about relevant developments.
