Van den Anker was established as a transport company in 1965. Over the years Van den Anker has specialised further in distributing packaged chemical products. In 1986 the company moved from Liempde to Son (Eindhoven). Van den Anker currently has several locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.

In 1999 EDC (European Distribution Centre) was established. EDC is mainly focused on goods-flow from the Far East and the United States. Since 2000 Van den Anker's policy is aimed at extending their core business: storing and distributing packaged chemical products.
